Luigi Archett
- born 5 February 1955 in Brescia, Italy. Resident
of Switzerland since 1965.
Since 1978
- Composer, music performer, sound experimenter, guitarist
- Sound-installations,cross-over-projects.
- Founder of various music projects in the avant-garde and experimental
music fields (electronica, improvisation, noise and computer music).
- Live movie soundtracks, live video performances.
- Has performed with various projects and also solo in Switzerland,
Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Poland, Liechtenstein, Canada,
USA, Japan and Russia
1995
- solo concert as part of the "Ton-Art" series in the
Bern Art Museum. These concerts were broadcast live on Swiss radio,
DRS2.
1998
- performed together with the guitarists Uchihashi Kazuhisa (J)
and Bill Horist (USA) at the "Taktlos Festival" in Zurich
and Basel.
1999
- at the festival "Grenzueberschreitungen" at the Bayreuth
Opera House with musicians from China, Beluchistan and Iran.
2000
- performed with the duo "Low Tide Digitals" at the
"Music Performance Festival" at the Instituto Svizzero
di Roma.
2001
- Compositions commissioned by the Swiss Pro Helvetia Foundation
(Solo-CD-project:"Transient Places").
- Performed with the quartet "Alienstalk", including
Ellen Christi, vocals; Jan Schlegel, bass; and Claudio Lodati,
guitar, at the international festival "Dalle nuove musiche
al suono mondiale", organized by "musica 90" in
Turin (Café Procope).
2001 / 02
- Performed the project SUB (music performance) at the "Jazzherbst
Konstanz" and "13 Jazzfestival Schaffhausen" together
with Hubl Greiner, Bo Wiget.
2003
- Music-compositions and video-works in the dance project A VONTADE
DAS COISAS with the dancer Marisa Godoy (Brasil). Performances
at: Theaterhaus Gessnerallee Zürich.
- Solo-music-performance DANCEFLOOR (music & video-project)
at the Kunsthalle Zürich, Kunsthalle Winterthur and during
the exhibition OSCILACIONES in Barcelona.
2004
- Scandinavian-tour with LOW TIDE DIGITALS.
- CD-release TRANSIENT PLACES on the label Unit Records Switzerland
UTR 4154.
- Concert with video-projection at the LEM-Festival (8th International
Experimental Music Festival) in Barcelona.
- Concert with the project CONSTRUCTION SONOR at the festival
UOVO in Milano

- The movie I HAVE YOU SEEN BETTER DANCING THAN THIS
of Archetti/Wiget is the winner of the 9th MuVi-Awards
of the 53. Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen 2007
- Solo-concert at the festival MUTAMENTI in
Bellinzona with: Fennesz, Young Gods and Bernd Schurer.
2008
- CD-release FRAGMENTS ON SLOWLESS, SPEED AND TEDIUM

- The movie BESTES DEUTSCHES MUSIKVIDEO by Archetti/Wiget
is the winner of the 10th MuVi-Awards of the 54. Internationale
Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen 2008.
